The 2011 America the Beautiful Washington Quarter is a United States quarter from the America the Beautiful Quarters 2010-2021 series — the second year of the series. In 2011, the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mints struck 401,156,549 quarters, including 6,346,169 clad proofs and 3,610,380 silver proofs. The obverse features George Washington facing left, based on a 1786 bust by Jean-Antoine Houdon and the reverse displays unique designs featuring national parks and sites from each state and territory. Gettysburg (PA), Glacier (MT), Olympic (WA), Vicksburg (MS), and Chickasaw (OK) were released. The Gettysburg and Vicksburg quarters resonated with Civil War history collectors. Struck in 75% copper, 25% nickel over a pure copper center, 24.3 mm in diameter, with a reeded edge. Across its variants, estimated values range from $0 to $26 depending on mint mark, grade, and strike type. A notable auction result reached $2.6K in MS68 grade at eBay.
