2020 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-011

Description

Recorded in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 2020-P 25 cents VI WDDR-011, this variety appears on the 2020 Philadelphia Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve Quarter — one of the final issues of the America the Beautiful series before the program concluded. The Salt River Bay design, depicting the heritage coastline of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, provides the canvas against which the reverse doubling of this die was documented. A related attribution note accompanies this variety: the original WDDR-012 listing for this year and design was lost before it could be photographed and is expected to be replaced when an adequately documented specimen is located. No additional cross-references beyond the Wexler file number are known for WDDR-011. Die markers for this variety have not been separately cataloged.
