2015 (P) Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-018

Description

2015-P DE WDDR-018 is a doubled die reverse on the 2015-P Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge quarter (Delaware) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling takes the form of an extra grass blade on the right side of the middle strip of grass, in the gap separating the great egret from the great blue heron; under the right end of the upper strip there is slight doubling as well. On the obverse, a small gouge lies between UNITED's E and D, and a small die chip sits on the bust's base, ENE of the designer's initials. Die chips lie under the heron's eye on the reverse. Stephen Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
