2015 (P) Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge Quarter - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-002

Description

2015-P DE WDDR-002 is a doubled die reverse on the 2015-P Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge quarter (Delaware) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling takes the form of an extra grass blade under the right side of the upper strip of grass, in the space separating the great egret from the great blue heron. Obverse markers: a small gouge left of the T in LIBERTY, another inside the lower part of the U in QUARTER, and a third at the rim over the O in OF. On the reverse, a crack running NNW/SSE follows the rear of the great blue heron's head and its upper neck. Stephen Young submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
