2015 (P) Jefferson Nickel - P-5DER-001T Trail Die Reverse

Description

Trails on 2015P-5DER-001T come from CEL in MONTICELLO and ENT in CENTS and head 060°, east-northeast, toward the upper right. The code covers a 2015 Philadelphia nickel (2015P, 5); DER flags the reverse design extension, 001 the file and T the trails. The obverse of this middle-die-state coin is unmarked, but the reverse has a die crack leaving the building's right eave and entering the field, a quick check for this die. Michael Taylor found it. Trails are generally traced to a rotary buff polishing the die, while some attribute them to the die moving against the hub.
