Description
Very slight doubling shows inside the lower right opening in the handle of General Burgoyne’s sword.Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge at the lower right inside of the O in OF. Die gouge left of the F in OF. Die gouge above the left side of the D in DOLLAR. Small die gouge above the Y in LIBERTY. Reverse: Die chip on the guard of the sword below the ring finger. Die chip on Burgoyne's pinky finger. Die gouge left of the S in SURRENDER. Die gouge above Burgoyne's hand. Die gouge SW of the sword quillon.Submitted By: George W. Large die gouge touches the left side of the U in SURRENDER. Two die gouges NW of the S in SURRENDER. Large die gouge above the R in BRITISH. Large die gouge above the right side of the handle of the sword.
