Description
2015-P NY WDDR-016 is a doubled die reverse on the 2015-P Saratoga National Historical Park quarter (New York) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling sits within the lower right opening of the handle of General Burgoyne's sword. On the obverse there is feeder finger damage between LIBERTY's Y and the neck, and a gouge centered within UNITED's D. Reverse markers: a NNW/SSE scratch through SURRENDER's S; two more NNW/SSE scratches over the sword's handle; and a gouge in the lower opening of SURRENDER's last E. George W. Powell, Jr. submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
