Description
2015-P NY WDDR-013 is a doubled die reverse on the 2015-P Saratoga National Historical Park quarter (New York) in the America the Beautiful series, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling sits within the lower right opening of the handle of General Burgoyne's sword. Obverse markers: a short crack across the bust's base; a small gouge over the right side of UNITED's D; and a gouge touching the inner left side of QUARTER's Q. On the reverse, strong NW/SE scratches run between the 1 of 1777 and the designer's initials RG, and a pair of small gouges lies between SURRENDER's S and U. Jason Rowley submitted the variety; the additional photos show a coin sent in by George W. Powell, Jr. Wexler lists no cross-references.
