Attributed by the Wexler Team and cross-referenced as CONECA 5-R-VIII under the full designation 2013-P 25c MD WDDR-012, this America the Beautiful Quarter doubled die reverse shows a spread to the south at the bottom of the arch and on the right roof of the featured design. The CONECA cross-reference 5-R-VIII places this variety in Class VIII (tilted hub doubling) within the reverse die category — the tilting of the hub during impression created a directional spread concentrated in specific areas of the design. The "MD" designation identifies this as the Fort McHenry (Maryland) quarter within the America the Beautiful series, which issued five unique reverse designs annually from 2010 through 2020 (one in 2021) honoring national parks and sites.
