Description
The URIBU of PLURIBUS carries the trails on 2012P-5DER-005T, which run at 330°, toward the upper left (north-northwest). TrailDies' code means a 2012 Philadelphia (2012P) five-cent coin (5), reverse design extension (DER), file 005, trails (T). Its late-die-state coin has cracks that make it easy to separate from the other 2012 files: one runs from the right base of Monticello out to the rim, and another follows the building's left edge into the field. The obverse has a small die dot under the mint mark. Tanaka (Mikee) Davis found it. Trails are commonly explained as the work of a rotary buff polishing the die, with die-to-hub movement offered by a minority.

- Stage “C“, obverse is LDS – a small die dot is seen under the mintmark.
- Reverse is LDS – a die crack is seen from the right base of Monticello to the rim. Another die crack is seen on the left edge of the building and in the field.
