Description
2011 WDDO-009 is a doubled die obverse on the 2011 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The date's digits and LIBERTY both show very strong extra thickness and are notched at their lower left corners. On the obverse, a crack heads NNW across the forehead's front, starting at the eyebrow's front. On the reverse, a crack follows the top of the shield on its left side, with chips over the L and the first U of PLURIBUS. Ronald Burke submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
