Description
2011 WDDO-006 is a doubled die obverse on the 2011 Lincoln Shield cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The date and the ERTY of LIBERTY show extra thickness, with notches at the top left of the TY. On the obverse, a light scratch heads NNE from the top of the head, passing between the W and E of WE at their bases, and a pre-die crack depression crosses the eyebrow heading NW and reaches into the forehead. On the reverse, a short scratch goes south from the rim right of the I in AMERICA, and a pre-die crack depression lies on the shield's top, north of the LU in PLURIBUS. Jeremy Gardner submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
