2010 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - P-1DER-006T Trail Die Reverse

Description

Trails on 2010P-1DER-006T start at the upper corners of ITED in UNITED and run at 190°, down and very slightly left, south by west. The number reads 2010 and P (date and Philadelphia mint), 1 (cent), DER (reverse design extension), 006 (file) and T (trails). TrailDies' middle-die-state coin has a small gouge above the E of LIBERTY, and on the reverse a round die dent crosses the N of ONE and a crack appears in the C of CENT. Albert Neils found it. Rotary polishing of the die is the usual account of trails; a less widely held one has the die moving against the hub.

• Stage “B “, obverse is MDS – a small die gouge is seen above the E of LIBERTY
• Reverse is MDS – a circular die dent is seen passing through the N of ONE. A die crack is seen in the C of CENT.
