Description
Only the RTY of LIBERTY carries trails on 2010P-1DEO-011T; they leave the tops of those letters and point at 330°, up and to the left (north-northwest). TrailDies' number: 2010 and P for date and mint, 1 the cent, DEO the obverse class, 011 the file, T the trails. The middle-die-state coin shows scratches along Lincoln's jaw line; on the reverse, a chip lies on the shield's upper right edge and a crack leaves the shield's top and runs out into the field. Albert Neils found it. Polishing with a rotary buff is the explanation usually given for trails, though some attribute them to the die moving against the hub.

- Stage “B“, obverse is MDS – die scratches are seen along Lincoln’s jaw line.
- Reverse is MDS – a die chip is seen along the upper right edge of the shield. A die crack is seen entering the field from the top of the shield.
