2010 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - P-1DEO-006T Trail Die Obverse

Description

From the upper right corners of the LIBERTY letters, the trails on 2010P-1DEO-006T head toward 030°, north-northeast, angling up toward the right rim. TrailDies' number holds the date (2010), the Philadelphia mint (P), the cent (1), the obverse design-extension tag (DEO), file 006 and the T for trails. Its middle-die-state coin has a small dent below the W of WE, and on the reverse a small gouge between the final A of AMERICA and the shield. Albert Neils found the die. Most explanations credit trails to rotary polishing of the die, while some attribute them to the die moving against the hub.
