2010 (P) Lincoln Shield Cent - P-1DEO-003T Trail Die Obverse
Error
Description
Faint trails on 2010P-1DEO-003T come from GOD and WE, with one more from the top lock of Lincoln's hair, all heading toward 070°, east-northeast, which is to the right and slightly up. In TrailDies' code, 2010 and P are year and mint, 1 is the cent, DEO the obverse design extension, 003 the file and T trails. At middle die state, a crack runs through Lincoln's hair and a gouge is in the field just over LIBERTY's L; the reverse has a die dot at the right end of the scroll. Jean Lee found it. The usual explanation is rotary polishing of the die; a smaller number of specialists suggest the die moved against the hub.

- Stage “B “, obverse is MDS – a die crack is seen in Lincoln’s hair. A die gouge is seen in the field above the L of LIBERTY.
- Reverse is MDS – a die dot is seen in the right end of the scroll.
