Description

Cataloged as UVC-2801 and DMR-009 in the VarietyVista system, the 2009 Philadelphia Mint Lincoln Cent Professional Life DDR-007 shows strong spread to the east, producing an extra partial upper window frame west of the fourth column on the log cabin reverse. The 2009 Professional Life design, part of the Lincoln Bicentennial series, features Lincoln seated reading while leaning against a log. Die stage progression documents four stages: Stage A is an unconfirmed early die state. Stage B reaches early-mid die state with a die crack in the back of the hair on the reverse. Stage C is an unconfirmed mid-die-state. Stage D is an unconfirmed late die state. The extra window frame provides a crisp architectural diagnostic, as the cabin's window openings create well-defined geometric boundaries against which even modest displacement becomes apparent under magnification.
