Cataloged by MadDieClashes as ADC-1c-2009(PL)-01, this 2009 Philadelphia Lincoln cent from the Professional Life reverse design carries atypical die clash marks, which are clash impressions appearing in unusual locations not normally associated with standard die clash patterns. This is the stronger of two similar Professional Life clashed dies from the Philadelphia Mint, though neither matches the intensity of the 2009-D Professional Life clashed dies. The key diagnostic separating Die 01 from Die 02 lies in the lower face area: Die 01 exhibits deep clash windows below the chin that nearly extend Lincoln's beard, while Die 02 shows clash marks on the upper lip that enhance the appearance of a mustache. Importantly, Die 01 does not carry clash marks on the reverse die, whereas Die 02 shows reverse marks along with abrasion lines that may originate from an earlier clashing event.
