Error
Description
Light extra thickness shows to the letters of LIBERTY, the lower hair details, the date, and the beard details. Light notching can be seen on the upper left ERTY of LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: Two short parallel die scratches extend NE from the top of the Y in LIBERTY. A die scratch runs from SW to NE from above the E in LIBERTY. A small die chip can be found on the collar ESE of the Y in LIBERTY. A die scratch runs NE through the collar from the die chip. A die crack runs from SW to NE through the hair on the upper back of the head. A die crack runs NW from the eyebrow into the forehead. A die crack runs across the bottom of the bowtie and then turns south into the vest. Reverse: A short, vertical die gouge can be found at the rim just to the right of the 2nd A in AMERICA. A small die gouge can be found below the N of CENT. A small die chip can be found on the lower E of CENT. A light die scratch extends NE from the center right side of the S in PLURIBUS. A die crack runs from NE to SW through the left side of the mallet head and out to the rim. A die crack runs down the upper part of the left arm. Obverse:
