Description
2008-P NM WDDR-003 is a doubled die reverse on the 2008-P New Mexico state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. On the Zia sun symbol over the state outline, the doubling is on the center left side of the second of the four lower rays. Obverse markers: a scratch heading ENE from the N of IN at its upper right; a scratch heading NE from the E of QUARTER at its lower right; and a scratch heading NE from the L of LIBERTY at its lower left. Reverse markers: a SSW-NNE scratch through the second N of ENCHANTMENT on its left side; a scratch running NNE from the first U of PLURIBUS at its upper left to the 2 of 2008 at its lower left point; and a scratch running from that 2's lower left up to its top center. Kenneth Russell submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 4-R-VIII.
