Description
Trails on 2008D(AK)-25DER-001T are confined to the ALA of ALASKA and run at 260°, a little south of due west, toward the left rim. The number covers a 2008 quarter from Denver (2008D) bearing the Alaska design (AK), 25 being the denomination and DER TrailDies' term for a reverse design extension; 001T closes it, file 001 with trails. The coin TrailDies describes is at a late early die state and shows no markers at all, leaving the trail position as the main guide. Louis Fan found it. Trails are thought by most to come from polishing the die with a rotary buff and by some to come from the die moving against the hub.
