2006 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - D-1DER-008T Trail Die Reverse
Error
Description
On 2006D-1DER-008T, trails come from the motto letters' upper right corners, from TES in STATES, and from the O of OF, all at 060°, east-northeast, up and to the right. In TrailDies' code, 2006D is the date and Denver mint, 1 the cent, DER the reverse design extension class, 008 the file and T the trail type. The coin TrailDies describes is late, stage C. Its obverse has a dot below the B of LIBERTY, and its reverse a crack in the upper part of column 2. Jean Lee found the die. Trails like these are mostly attributed to polishing of the die with a rotary buff, while some suggest the die moved against the hub.
