2006 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - D-1DER-005T Trail Die Reverse

Description

2006D-1DER-005T has moderate trails over much of the upper reverse: from the motto letters at their top right, along the whole scroll of the cornice, and on STATES' final S and the F of OF. TrailDies adds that the N of ONE shows them too, though it is not pictured. The offset direction is 010°, just east of north, almost straight up. The code is a 2006 Denver one-cent reverse design extension (2006D, 1, DER), file 005, type T. Two obverse markers appear on the stage B coin: a break on the date's first zero and a fine crack joining the two zeros. The reverse has a small dot in bay 3 just above the left urn. Jean Lee found it. The trails are usually credited to the die being polished with a rotary buff; some credit the die moving against the hub instead.

• Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – a die break is seen on the first zero of the date. The two zeros in the date are connected by a small die crack.
• Reverse is MDS – a small die dot is seen in bay 3 immediately above the   left URN.
