Description
2005-S OR WDDR-006 is a doubled die reverse on the 2005-S clad proof Oregon state quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is on the lower right end of Wizard Island. Wexler notes that on the coin examined, much of the obverse lettering shows strike doubling. Obverse markers: gouges just over the eye and just to its right; a small gouge in the hair atop the head, under the ES of STATES; and a small gouge in the middle of the queue's lower part. On the reverse, a small round gouge (dot) sits just right of the volcano's top. Danny Chapman submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
