Description

2005-P MN DDO-003 is a doubled die obverse on the 2005-P Minnesota state quarter, cataloged by VarietyVista. The doubling is a light spread that shows as an extra earlobe. VarietyVista also gives it as 3-O-VIII, and its chart numbers are UVC-1850 and DMR-094. Stage A has three markers. Over the second R in QUARTER there is a die gouge, in an early middle die state (EMDS). A large gouge sits under the left leg of the M in AMERICA. A small gouge dot lies above the loon's back, also EMDS. Stage B (middle die state) and Stage C (late die state) have not been confirmed. Reported to VarietyVista by William Dorvall.
