Attribution History
- Discovered by John A. Wexler Cross References: None known Comments: Is this a doubled die? If so, and the anomaly is part of a fishing pole, it would be one of the most widely spread doubled die varieties known. Is it a die gouge? If so, there is quite a list of coincidences that you have to overlook. Why is a die gouge that bears a resemblance to a fishing pole on the same side of a coin that does have fishing poles as part of the design? Why does the die gouge run in basically the same direction as the fishing poles?
