2000 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001

Description

2000-D WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 2000-D Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. In the sixth Memorial column, partial extra columns appear at the top and bottom of the statue, tilted roughly 60 degrees off vertical. Obverse markers: a short vertical gouge right of the top of the D in GOD, and a gouge left of the middle of the S in TRUST. Reverse marker: a small gouge beside the last Memorial column's bottom, on its right. Richard Cooper submitted the variety. Crawford lists it as CDDR-002. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
