Description
Column 3 is the place to start on 1995P-1DER-007WS: its fluting runs moderately down into the stylobate. Further right, the steps beneath columns 5, 6 and 7 waver lightly, more on their left side. Its file number, read left to right, is year 1995, mint P, a 1 for the cent, DER for TrailDies' reverse design extension list, file 007 and WS, the wavy-step type, where trails crossing the stairway make the steps look uneven. The offset direction is 180°, toward the bottom of the coin. On the middle-die-state reverse described, tiny die dots sit between the N and I of UNITED and between the N and E of ONE. The usual view is that polishing the die with a rotary buff produces lines like these; some instead blame the die moving against the hub.
