Description

There is letter distortion on IN GOD WE TRUST with indications of a direction of 250º. Protruding knobs can be seen on the left tops of IN, WE and T of TRUST, with the heaviest indication seen on WE. While there are die scratches in the same direction, I do believe that the lines from the bottom of the L and also the I in LIBERTY are part of this trail die since they are in the same general direction as the trails on IN GOD WE TRUST. The late die state of this example may preclude us from seeing trail lines; however, earlier die states may have stronger indications of trails.
