D/D Tilted Die Markers: Obverse: Stage A: Die gouge under bust at 5:30. Die gouge (dot) below the B in LIBERTY. Stage B: Die gouge under bust at 5:30 still visible. Die gouge below B in LIBERTY faint. Die gouges above B and below B in LIBERTY. Die gouge at rim between GO in GOD. Two die gouges right of lower second T in TRUST. Stage C: The Stage A markers are worn away. Die gouge above B and below E in LIBERTY and die gouge at rim between GO in GOD still visible. Die gouges right of second T in TRUST very faint. Die gouge inside the U in TRUST. Reverse: Stage A: A die gouge shows along the right edge of the lower opening of the M in AMERICA. A die gouge shows to the right of first A in AMERICA. A tiny die gouge shows above the upper right tip of first S in STATES. Stage B: Die gouges inside M and right of A in AMERICA still visible. New die gouges under AM in AMERICA. Light N/S die scratch inside the upper left area of the last A in AMERICA. Die gouge under first S in STATES. Die gouge above F in FG. Stage C: Die gouges around AM in AMERICA markedly faint. Light N/S die scratch inside the upper left area of the last A in AMERICA faintly visible. Die gouge under first S in STATES faintly visible. Die gouge above F in FG still visible.
