Description
D/D Tilted Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge in field at level of center of Lincoln’s nose. A tiny die gouge (dot) shows on the back of the nose south of the tip of the eyelid. A series of die gouges show below and SE of the Y in LIBERTY. Rim ridge present around entire obverse. A die flow line runs south from the right side of the W in WE. Reverse: Weakly struck lower ES in STATES. Die gouge north of C in CENT. Rim ridge present around majority of the reverse. Die gouge above the left memorial base west of the top of the stairs. A die gouge runs north from the upper right edge of the O in ONE. Die cracks on upper E in ONE and upper C and E in CENT.
