The dual-class attribution means this variety resulted from a hubbing event where the working die shifted both rotationally and with a component of design distortion, producing a complex doubling signature that engages multiple mechanical axes. Obverse die markers include a V-shaped die scratch above the mint mark and numerous north-south die scratches to the right of Lincoln's profile, providing attributors with secondary confirmation points beyond the doubling itself.
