Description

D/D North Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouges show inside the lower opening and along the lower left edge of the 8 in the date. Light horizontal scratches run east from Lincoln’s upper lip. Areas of die damage show in the field below IN. A small die gouge (dot) shows in the lower opening of the ear. Reverse: A die gouge shows to the right of the lower first A in AMERICA. A series of three closely spaced die gouges show in upper Memorial bay 1. Areas of die roughness show around and inside the O in ONE. A series of die gouges show in lower opening of the E in ONE. A tiny die gouge (dot) shows in the field below the right arm of the last A in AMERICA.
