Description
1977-S WDDO-006 is a doubled die obverse on the 1977-S proof Eisenhower dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. IN GOD WE TRUST, the date and LIBERTY show moderate Class II doubling. On the obverse, a long scratch follows the base of the bust over the mint mark to the designer's initials. A faint scratch marks the rim right of LIBERTY's Y, and a prominent gouge lies just west of the T's horizontal bar. Wexler notes no reverse markers. Tim Wissert submitted the variety, with photos by Billy G. Crawford. Wexler lists no cross-references.
