Description

The San Francisco Mint's production of 1971-S Proof Silver Eisenhower Dollars generated an extraordinary number of doubled die varieties, and WDDO-014 represents one entry in this extensive catalog. Struck in a composition of 80% silver and 20% copper with an outer layer of 800-fine silver bonded to a core, these 40% silver proofs were sold directly to collectors through the United States Mint.
