1971 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-006

Description

Doubling shows under the L in LIBERTY, above the 7 in the date, and slightly above the last one in the date. Die Markers: Obverse: A strong die gouge can be found at the rim to the right of the 2nd T in TRUST. A very strong die dent can be found between the designer’s initials and the rim. Reverse: A strong die gouge runs WSW from the rim above the U in UNITED.
