1970 Lincoln Memorial Cent - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-013

Description

1970 WDDO-013 is a doubled die obverse on the 1970 Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling sits under the L's horizontal bar in LIBERTY and over the 7's horizontal bar in the date. On the obverse, a north-south scratch lies in the field left of the back of the neck. There is a gouge (dot) under the R in TRUST, toward its right side, and another dot right of the chin, and other scratches appear on the obverse as well. On the reverse, a dot sits in UNITED, low between the I and T, and a gouge touches the lower right of the N in CENT. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
