Light-spread DDOs test the attribution skills of experienced cherry-pickers who can distinguish genuine hub doubling from die deterioration or strike doubling. The key difference is sharpness: true hub doubling produces a cleanly defined secondary bar with distinct edges, whereas deterioration creates fuzzy displacement and machine doubling shows flat, shelf-like images.
