Description
The 1970-D Doubled Die Reverse DDR-004 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1970 (D) Roosevelt Dime, part of the Roosevelt Dimes Clad and Silver Proof 1965 to Date series. Die markers: UVC-540 DMR-007 Stage A: Reverse is EDS Mintmark is Right of center – EDS UVC-541 DMR-008 Stage B: Die scratch South from first U of UNUM – MDS Obverse die changed – EDS Mintmark is far Right of center Stage C: Reverse is LDS Obverse is MDS Stage D: Reverse is VLDS Obverse is LDS.
