Description
1961 WDDO-005 is a doubled die obverse on the 1961 proof Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A clockwise (CW) spread pivoting near 1:00 appears on the designer's initials and IN GOD WE TRUST. Wexler records no significant obverse markers. The reverse is a doubled die, carried in Wexler's doubled die files as 1961 proof WDDR-008, with its own clockwise (CW) spread from a pivot near 1:00 on ONE, UNITED, E PLURIB, and the lower olive leaves and branch. Frank Baumann submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
