Description
1961 WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 1961 proof Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A spread toward the center appears on IN GOD WE TRUST, the date, the designer's initials and the L in LIBERTY, and the date is tripled. A small die dot sits on the upper ear, toward the left, and the forehead has a small die chip. The reverse shows a series of die chips lying under the horizontal bar of AMERICA's first A, and a short vertical scratch marks the lower left of the F in OF. Frank Baumann submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
