Description
1961 WDDO-004 is a doubled die obverse on the 1961 proof Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A very strong spread toward the center appears on LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, the date and the designer's initials. A pattern of scratches lies over the eyelid, long N/S scratches mark the forehead, and NE/SW scratches run all through the ear. On the reverse, a vertical scratch sits on the lower inner loop of STATES's second S. Kevin Flynn submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
