Description
1961 WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 1961 proof Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A spread toward the center appears on AMERICA, UNUM, ONE DIME, the right dot and the outer leaves on the right side. A series of gouges marks the cheek. On the reverse, the upper leaf on the left has two N/S scratches close to its top, with die chips (dots) over the left one. Two short scratches lie low between DIME's M and E. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
