1961 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-008

Description

Class II + VI, Distorted and Distended Hub DoublingThis variety replaces the original WDDO-008 listing which was delisted because it was a doubled working hub.  Close Class II doubling shows on IN GOD WE TRUST.  Extra thickness shows on the bottoms of the letters of LIBERTY.

Die Markers

• Obverse: Die scratch on front lower portion of Jefferson's collar; die gouge between upper portions of S and second T of TRUST.
• Reverse: Die dot above L of PLURIBUS.
