The 1961 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1961 Proof Jefferson Nickel, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Short die scratch above and between P and L of PLURIBUS; almost vertical die scratch between third and fourth columns.
