Description
1960 WDDO-010 is a doubled die obverse on the 1960 proof Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows an extremely close spread toward the center. The obverse has a scratch on the rim left of TRUST, rim scratches over the B and T in LIBERTY, a NW/SE scratch on the cheek, and E/W scratches among the hair curls to the left of the ear. On the reverse, short gouges cross the tops of STATES OF and the bottom of QUARTER DOLLAR. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
