Description
1960 WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 1960 proof Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. On LIBERTY there is an extremely close spread toward the center. On the obverse, the 9 of the date has a gouge to its left, and there is another near the rim under the queue. On the reverse, there is die damage under the O in DOLLAR, toward its right side and a gouge separating the O in OF from the last S in STATES. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
