Description
1960 WDDO-015 is a doubled die obverse on the 1960 proof Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A spread toward the center is light on the date, the designer's initials and ERTY of LIBERTY, and strong on LIB. The designer's initials and IN GOD WE TRUST also show a counterclockwise (CCW) spread pivoting near 1:00. On the obverse, a SW scratch leaves the chin. On the reverse, a gouge sits in the field between the oak stem and the upper left of DIME's M. James Braun submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
