1960 Proof Roosevelt Dime - Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-007

Description

1960 WDDO-007 is a doubled die obverse on the 1960 proof Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A medium spread toward the center appears on the date, the designer's initials and IN GOD WE TRUST, and lightly on LIBERTY. Three N/S scratches lie between the 1 of the date and the designer's initials. On the reverse, a die chip is centered between UNITED's E and D, another sits low between its T and E, and a scratch crosses the T's vertical bar near its top and the E's vertical bar near its bottom. Two die chips sit low on STATES's first S. Frank Baumann submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
