Description
1960 WDDO-006 is a doubled die obverse on the 1960 proof Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Strong extra thickness appears on IN GOD WE TRUST, the date, the lower profile and the designer's initials. A short scratch sits inside the upper O of GOD, another lies between the lower O and D, and two short scratches run north from the date's 9. On the reverse, the top leaf on the right has a NE/SW scratch, and a short NE/SW scratch sits at the lower right of PLURIBUS's P. Frank Baumann submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
